Hino Motors, Ltd.. is a company specialized in manufacturing of diesel trucks, buses and other kinds of Japanese cars. Since 1973, Hino has always been the brand of heavy diesel trucks and midsize leading domestic market. So far, Hino vehicles were present in over 140 countries worldwide.




Development History
Hino Motors is Tokyo Gas Industry Company which was established in 1910. Also this year, Chiyoda Gas Co. was established and became competitors of Tokyo Gas Industry. However, to Tokyo Gas in 1912 it was defeated and annexed. Now the company began expanding group of products to the electronics field and rename the company to Tokyo Gas and Electric Industry (TG & E), often abbreviated as Gasuden. In 1917, the company launched the first truck model, Model tge "A-Type". By 1937, TG & E merged parts of their production cars with Automobile Industry Co., Ltd.. and Kyodo KOKUSAN K.K. create a new company called Tokyo Automobile Industry Co., LTD.., and TG & E has become a shareholder of this company. Four years later the company changed its name to Diesel Motor Industry Co., LTD.., The latter is Isuzu Motors Limited.
In 1942 marked the introduction of Hino Heavy Industry Co., LTD.. when it decided to withdraw from Diesel Motor Industry Co., LTD.. to become an independent legal entity and hence the name Hino began to appear. To impress strongly to customers in 1948, the company name has been added from "Deisel" and become Hino Diesel Industry Co., LTD..
  
1964 Hino Contessa 1300
  In 1953, Hino cars entering the market by licensing the production car Renaults. In 1961, Hino began producing the 900 sedan model Contessa's own brand. Contessa car was Italian designer Giovanni Michelotti redesigned in 1964 with the rear engine mount with a capacity of 1300cc sedan 60 hp and 70 hp coupe. However, Hino quickly stop car production in 1967 after joining the Toyota Group.
The late '70s, Hino trucks are assembled in the Republic of Irland. To date, Hino has 15 branches and representative offices in many countries like USA, Belgium, Indonesia, Philippines, Australia, Pakistan ...
In the future, Hino continues efforts to expand the international network for timely adaptation to changing market demands.The typical model:Truck
